Who writes these guides

There is one desk. Guides that say “FixCodePro Team” are that desk — not a rotating cast of names hashed onto pages. We do not invent technicians to look authoritative.

Founder · Mechanical engineer · Editor

Mechanical engineer based in Minnesota. 15+ years of hands-on appliance work — dishwashers that will not drain, washers that throw codes at midnight, dryers that overheat because the vent was crushed. FixCodePro exists so you get the same diagnostic order a tech uses, written so you can follow it, including when to stop and call someone.

Focus: error-code diagnosis, safety stop-lines, part-family matching (not “universal” SKUs)

How a guide gets published

  1. Why this code: people actually hit it (reader mail, service patterns, Search Console) — not a daily quota.
  2. Research: manufacturer literature, tech sheets, and repairs we have run or supervised.
  3. Draft: diagnostic order first. Software may help organize. We reject invented firmware versions and universal part numbers.
  4. Review: safety, when-to-call-a-pro, and model caveats before it stays live.
